Description

Rwanda gisanga – a natural coffee from the gisanga processing station in the southern province of rwanda. Grown at 1,650-1,850 m.A.S.L., this red bourbon variety offers a fruity profile with black currant, orange zest, and hibiscus, along with a bright acidity and a medium body. Processed using the natural method, this coffee delivers a sweet, complex cup with distinct floral notes.

Origin

Humure washing station is located in the Gatsibo District, in the Eastern Province with sandy clay soils. It is named after the highest hill in the area, which is a tourist destination as well as a spot for many community members. The station is run only by women.

The local government supports the factory with inputs and its management organizes training for the farmers on how to use them properly.

Humure station helps farmers in different ways. They give farmers masks and gloves to protect themselves when they use certain chemicals. Humure also gives farmers small loans for a year to help pay for things like farming costs, medical bills, or school fees. The station grows young plants and gives them to farmers so they can replace old ones. They also teach farmers about hygiene and sanitation and help farmers gain access to clean water. Besides, Humure organizes Farmer Field Schools where farmers learn about soil conservation, water protection, waste management and more.
